Following the deep clean, we realised there was still an issue of puddles along the back of the courts after prolonged heavy rain. Even though there was a proper drainage channel the other side of the netting, because of the bottom boards filling most of the access, after consultation with the school it was agreed that the boards could be removed, thus leaving space for water to escape off the surface.
All this work including the recent weeding of club area and making sure the wire couldn’t be lifted by adding zip ties to the old board supports was completed by Ivan, so big thanks to him for sorting so efficiently. We are lucky to have several handy people who go the extra mile to help the club.
